Framing and structural work on a Wenatchee Valley residential project
Residential Framing

Residential Framing Contractor in Wenatchee, WA

Additions, remodels, garages and new builds framed straight, square and to plan, with the precision every sub-trade behind us depends on.

Framing is where a build is won or lost

Everything that comes after framing inherits its mistakes. Drywall telegraphs a bowed stud, cabinets need shims when walls are out of plumb, tile shows a floor that was never flat, and windows fight rough openings that drifted a quarter inch. We frame with that in mind: crowned and culled lumber, layout snapped and double-checked, walls braced plumb, and floors and roof planes verified before the next trade shows up.

We frame room additions, second-story additions, garage and shop shells, structural remodels that move or remove bearing walls, ADUs and full new-build houses. That covers floor systems with engineered I-joists or dimensional lumber, exterior and interior wall framing, LVL and glulam beam installation, stick-framed and truss-set roofs, dormers, structural sheathing and shear panels, and all the hangers, straps and hold-downs the plans call for.

For decks and non-combustible applications we also frame in steel, including NewCastle Steel systems. In a valley with real wildfire exposure and hard freeze-thaw cycles, a steel sub-structure removes rot, warping and combustibility from the equation entirely, and it stays straighter than lumber over the long haul.

Plans, permits, inspections and clean handoffs

We work from stamped plans and hold to them, flagging conflicts early instead of framing around a problem and leaving it for the next trade. On projects that need design help, we assist with layout, structural elements and material selection before construction starts so the drawings reflect how the space will actually be built and used. Permit and inspection coordination with Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, and Chelan and Douglas county building departments is part of the job.

General contractors and owner-builders hire us for framing-only scopes, and homeowners hire us to carry an addition or garage from foundation prep through a weather-tight shell. Either way you get an honest schedule, a job site that stays organized and swept, waste hauled out rather than piled up, and a framing package your plumber, electrician, HVAC installer and finish carpenter can work off of without complaints.

Common Questions

Frequently asked

How long does framing take on a typical project?

A room addition or garage shell is commonly one to three weeks of framing once the foundation is ready and materials are delivered. A full single-family house shell generally runs three to six weeks depending on size, roof complexity and weather. We give you a framing window tied to your foundation and truss delivery dates.

Do framing projects require permits and inspections?

Yes. Additions, structural remodels, garages and new builds require a building permit and framing inspection from the City of Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, or Chelan or Douglas County. We frame to the stamped plans, leave the work open and accessible for inspection, and correct anything an inspector flags promptly.

What framing materials do you work with?

Dimensional lumber, engineered I-joists, LVL and glulam beams, roof and floor trusses, structural sheathing, and light-gauge or NewCastle Steel framing for decks and non-combustible applications. We size and install hardware, hangers, hold-downs and shear panels per plan.

Do you work as a subcontractor for other builders?

Yes. General contractors and homeowner-builders regularly hire us for framing only. Sub-trades depend on square, plumb, accurate framing, and that reliability is a large part of our repeat work in the valley.

Where do you take framing work?

Throughout Chelan and Douglas counties, including Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Entiat, Malaga, Rock Island and Lake Chelan.
